Recently, I was flipping through the Feb/March issue of foam magazine and I saw CUP O' DOODLES (page 22). The guy in the article, Cheeming Boey, draws his designs on polystyrene foam cups.

I totally freaking love this! I wish I had the money right now to buy one of these! I would make a shelf just for his cups :)
I was feeling a little inspired, and didn't have a cup, so I used a styrofoam plate. Have you ever drawn on styrofoam before? I must say I loved it, especially when you are bored and have to wait... I love the way the pen pushes in and glides so smoothly. Anyway, if you know of any unusual art, send us a link! We would love to check it out.

I love this! I draw on Styrofoam cups when I'm bored, but nothing as fabulous as these. This did make me think of this Italian artist that works in marble, but does some pretty unusual things with it. He's made several sculptures that look like they're made from Styrofoam & he even made a boat from marble. I'll leave you 2 links so you can check him out. He's a new favorite artist of mine.

What a cool idea and I think it's great that they even portrayed their employees!
Cheers!
wow, that's so neat that the employees had their picture on the cups! hopefully one of them didn't quit all of a sudden and leave the restaurant with tons of cups of their face!
just wanted to say hello and that i like this idea. very clever. also...sorry for the lack of comments lately. i still love you....just been SUPER busy.
can't wait to see your pretty face though!
xo!!!!
How interesting! he's so good. He apparently also lives in the same place I lived for 3 years for college, Irvine! I like drawing on cups, like hearts and my name. I agree with you, it goes so smooth! I like making the impressions :)
