This is what Travis said....
My favorite piece in the house would have to be my dining table. I found it, in many different pieces, in a local antique shop. The shop owner bought up the inventory of a furniture company as it was going out business; I rummaged through the bits and found similar parts and bought them. Soon after I bought the table pieces I met a local woodworker/furniture maker and he took what I had and made it into one cohesive idea. He assembled, sanded, stained, and roughed- up the wood, creating the vintage French Farm table I have now. The French cafe chairs are from a local metal worker who builds replicas of famous pieces.
The dining room pendants are from an old factory, re-purposed into modern fixtures.
I love old transit signage, such as metal street signs and bus route scrolls. The two I have in the dining room are from the late 70's. They were pulled out of a Ralph Lauren shop in California.
The living room sofa and leather chair are from Crate & Barrel ( Brandi wanted this green chair!) . The coffee table is an original 1920's factory cart, and the cowhide rug is from a local mid-century modern furniture shop.
The resin stag's head in the bathroom was a gift from a shop owner here in the ATL.
I love rustic, antique, eclectic, machine-like things.... So most of what's in my home is of that persuasion. Everything has a story.
Cheers,

Saying that he doesn't 'need a lady' to decorate his house is inherently sexist. Also, PHOTOS not PHOTO'S. The pictures don't own anything so don't use the possessive
love kitchen chalk board paint.
Well, I really admire your house, It is simple but elegant. Wish I can also have that kind of house someday. Thanks for sharing.

Did your sister help you out on some of the layout..fantastical..nice colour..cozy yet refined.You need a sign that says.You Are Here with a star....
disbelief. this isn't intended to be rude but...are you sure that guy's a guy? i mean, if my husband decorated our house it would just be bean bag chairs and band posters and empty monster cans everywhere.
{shh, don't tell him i think that}
Looks like a renaissance guy designed it.+++apprapo for the times. hats off!
