The Salon is Having Growing Pains

In the next couple months it's going to get a little crazy around here, like it hasn't already.
Me and a couple of friends will be on the search for a new home for the salon.
We love the space that we are at but, we are growing, we need more room for products,  and we have more friends that want to come work with us, I can't wait!
So September/ October we will be in our new space, which will still be in the heart of Montrose (hopefully) we like the heights too. The house turned salon just feels right for us and our clients so we are sticking with that. (and no, none of us will live there)
We will have a new name for the space. Don't worry the name Sunchild hasn't died, I am working on a secret project with that name:)
We are going to start shopping for waiting room furniture and shampoo bowls next week! (this is the fun part).
I am overly excited about decorating and painting and making this new space AMAZING!

Throw in a couple of out of state weddings, hair shows, normal work schedule, and bueno and you might understand if I seem a little Coo Coo these next few months. Oh, I love it, if I wasn't running around like a chicken with it's head cut off, I'd feel restless and depressed. It's true if I take off for more than 3 days of work (not on vacation)  I start analyzing my life with "who am I" "what am I doing with my life" "Jacob I think I'm depressed" Hahahaha. It's true. Is that weird? Does anyone else do that or is that just the way 1/2 my family is wired?

All photo's by my talented friend Aubrey McCoy.

You're an amazing human Brandi & I can't wait to see what this salon turns into! I also get really restless when I don't do anything which is why I always have weird projects going on or road trips planned. Speaking of which, I'll be going on a one month trip next summer that includes the entire US south & I'd love to see you while I'm down there! Also, Aubrey did an amazing job taking those photos of your space! Not a surprise, just cool. =)

Very exciting news! Sending you great vibes for your next few months of frenzy. We know that's how you like to roll. Roll on with your longboard self! xox

Good luck - girl, you ARE busy. For the record, I ask those existential questions, too. They seem to arise during transitional phases... both big and small... anything from accepting a new job to the change in the seasons, ha. Hang in there. Lots of exciting stuff in your future. xo.

How exciting for you! You are quite the entrepreneur. I have to say, though, that I love your salon space right now the way it is, so I'm a little sad to see it go. But I know your new space will be absolutely amazing, too!

So excited for you!! I hope you take pictures of the new place. I love the decor in these photos as it is, but I'm positive it's going to be even more fantastic.
Also, you're not the only one who gets restless. I've been dying this summer with nothing to do. Ah, I need to get out more.
And lastly, Aubrey's facial hair is wonderful<3 And his photography is beautiful.

I haven't had a job since last October... yeah, I'm about to lose my bloomin' mind. But it's good for trying to figure out what to do ~ just need to start actually DOING something, lol.

Totally can relate to the more than 3-days off resulting in an analytical overload! Everything about the salon sounds so exciting, and I can't wait to see what's in store for Sunchild! :)
