WORKING ON MY FITNESS: Swimmimg

I love being in the water, especially in our Houston heat. This is one of the best workouts in the summer. I am not one to hit the pool at the gym and swim laps but if it's outside and I'm with friends I have no problem. Next time you are at the the pool or beach, instead of just laying out, get in the pool, splash around, swim some laps, do some flips, dive, just move around and make your body work!

Swimming is a really safe full body workout. If your body cannot handle high impact workouts, swimming is perfect for you. If you have had a baby and want to get back in shape grab your child and lift them in and out of the water, you will feel the burn.

It's fun to have a friend to swim with because you can race each other and it forces you to push yourself. I am all about the fun workouts. If I get bored with a workout I just stop.

With swimming I could never get bored.

so true! i miss the beach!!!! you really just made me realize my bod is being affected this summer by my lack of water sports.
