Kellys floral
old UO floral button-down
This is my ultimate summer shirt. I love wearing this on super hot days, sunny days with cut offs and a big floppy hat.
old UO Floral Dress
I LOVE this dress. I bought it four years ago and I have never worn it! It's completely see-through and the back is opened so I don't know what I'm suppose to wear underneath. If you know, please help a sista out!

Floral Skirt
Brandi gave me this skirt a LONG time ago. I believe it is an Urban Renewal from Urban Outfitters.
Floral Dress
Bought this on sale last year at a boutique in Lubbock, Indigenous. It has to super large pockets on the front of the skirt and the back is fully exposed so I can only wear it when i'm in tip-top shape :)
Thrifted flower necklace
This is my favorite piece of jewelry that I have had for years. It was a thrifted (somewhere in austin) gift.
Questions:
are you a fan of floral prints?
what are your favorite floral items?

Uncommon Objects + a sassy little man

Hola! I'm kind of back...I'm still tweaking a project, but I wanted to share some fun photos with you.
While I was in Austin for SXSW, I stopped by a few thrift/antique shops and I went to a pretty popular place called Uncommon Objects. If you have been to Austin, you've mostly likely been there. The place was packed just like everywhere else in Austin that week and I had to weave myself around people just to see 72% of the store. Here are a few of my favorite items that I managed to photograph.

(sorry about fuzziness/poor quality. A sassy little man asked me not to take pictures so I had to be quick and sneaky with my crappy powershot)

Beauty Parlor Sign

I think Brandi needs an old tin sign for Sun Child Salon. We may have a new Bueno project to add to the list!

chalk board

and it's a chalkboard!

Wall Art

I think it's messed up that there was a giraffe on the wall, but I kind of want it! Maybe there's a fake giraffe mount out there just waiting for my wall. I think it would be perfect for my trailer (haha). I really want a wall decked out floor to ceiling with type. I just don't have the wallet for it right now.

Death

I found some skulls at the flea market also...Is this a trend or something that has always been popular?

White Gloves

A shelf full of fun. I really want a pair of white gloves. I almost bought a pair from Savers (thrift store) a while back, but they were kind of cheap looking so I had to pass.

Wood Type

Bowl of wood type? ...YES PLEASE!!!

vanity

What girl doesn't want a collection of dainty mirrors?

Glass

I have this thing about throwing away glass...I don't do it. I don't get the point because they can be reused for a lot of things. I always need containers for gifts, candles, crafting supplies, extra paint, knick knacks and don't forget left overs. I love this collection of glass.

Mason Jar Shelf

I want the light blue mason jars off this top shelf. Do you have any?

Overall, I liked the over priced objects in the store. It reminded me of a yuppie version of Texas Junk. Has anyone been there? Does anyone know why a store full of old junk would not allow pictures?

Well I hope you enjoy these slightly forbidden photos! I have more photos from SXSW coming your way.

muchos besos,
kel

brandi's hair do for the week.
don't forget to hop over to laurens blog....brandi's how to (hair related) is featured at the little things we do.

you can never have too many....

plain white tee's. i have a closet full of them. v-neck's, scoop necks, sheer, distressed, even hanes undershirts. i just bought 2 more this weekend at forever 21. $6.80 each. i tried on some other items but i stuck to the basics. you can't go wrong with a plain white tee, you can wear it with anything. dress it up dress it down. throw on any accessory. i choose comfort. always...well not always, sometimes i wear heels for jacob.
the rest of my outfit
aviators- $9.99 from banana bay in austin (i wear these to the river or beach so if lost it doesn't matter) i didn't even realize they weren't my ray bans. i actually like this size better.
denim- hollister
rainboots- urban outfitters ( i have gotten so much use out of these)
burnt orange jacket- thrifted (love the elbow patches)
excuse my hair, i had just done my roots and left the salon with my hair wet.

what do you think? how many white tee's do you have in your closet/ drawers? be honest.
i'm curious....what item do you feel like you can never have too many of?
b
oh yeah how could i forget about this pic. jacob and justin didn't know they had guy clothes at forever 21 so i sent them upstairs and they had a blast. yup. i came up looking for them because i didn't get the "come on babe hurry up" call. you know what i'm talking about. yeah and this is what i find!
