Lately on our days off we have been going into the Salon to play with each others hair and plan out Hair Classes. Last week we had a lot of fun with The Irresistible Me hair extensions and to keep it going I wanted to show y'all three different styles with braids. Lindsey began with giving me and everyday look of pigtail fishtails and leaving it messy. The second look we were channeling Princess Leia and also representing my fellow Aries by winding the braids up. This would work for everyday but it would be fabulous getting all dressed up. The third look she criss crossed the fishtails and pinned the ends under. I could see this being an edgy bridal/ bridesmaid updo, am I right? I prefer having extensions in when wearing braids down or in an updo just to achieve the illusion of having fuller hair.

We are working on more hair posts and just want some feedback, what do you want to see more of on MMBB?

FIX YO MOP /// How to Clip in Hair Extensions

Every girl wants to feel like a mermaid at some point right? Well, if you have been wanting to add length or volume to your mop, extensions are the perfect solution. It can be a huge commitment and if you have commitment issues that can be a problem. The great thing about Irresistible hair extensions is they are clip ins so there is no commitment! Boom! I already have long hair or at least I thought I did until I put these extensions on. The main reason I wanted to try these was to add a lot  more volume to my not so voluminous hair. This week I put them on in between clients and I just waited to see if anyone would notice that they were fake and you know what? No one did. I had a lot of guy clients say they never realized how long my hair actually was. A few clients from other stylists also commented on the length of my hair and asked how it was so healthy being this long. Mission accomplished. I felt like a mermaid and they matched my ombre perfectly.

HAIR- TO ///
-Brush out hair
-Using Kevin Murphy's tail comb section hair with a clean part (first section 1-3 inches from the nape of the neck)
-Tease / Backcomb at the part
-Slide clips firmly in the teased sections and clip
-Lay sectioned hair down over the extension
-Take another section (top of the ear to ear) clip up, tease at the root, clip
-Don't go too high up on the head because you do not want people to see your tracks
-When you put the smaller sections around face you also don't want to see the tracks
-From the top of the ear go and inch or two up and make a clean part, tease, clip extensions in (1 inch away from hairline)
-Tease remaining sections and start smoothing top layer of hair so no tracks are visible.
-If you want beach waves, spray a heat protectant in hair and begin curling hair with styling rod.
-Comb through using a Kevin Murphy Texture comb and flip your hair so it's not too perfect looking
-Spray shimmer shine to complete this look.

CASA /// Our Dining Room

Chairs /// Table /// Rug /// Bench /// Glass  ///

Being renters I never really thought about buying new furniture for our place. I just assumed we would buy furniture after we bought a house because you never know what is going to fit or what style will go with the house. Well, that all changed a few months back when we decided we were not going to buy for awhile. We talked it over with our financial planner and it doesn't really make sense for us to buy now, especially since we don't even know how long we want to stay here. It's such a big commitment and with our travel schedule it would just be a big stress to deal with all the things home owners have to handle. So little by little we are working on making our rental feel more like home. Jacob and I love having our friends over so we decided to start on the living room and dining room. We still have a ways to go because we don't want to just rush and buy everything at one place, and we don't want to buy things that don't have a purpose or wasn't thought out. It has been a fun process so far, I just wish we had more time with it. Right now we are trying to decide on what photos from our travels to enlarge and where we should get this done. I had a lot of suggestions on IG, Arifact Uprising is one we keep hearing about so we might go with that. So far we are loving our dining room table and chairs, we made a rule when we made the purchase that we couldn't eat in the living room anymore but that didn't really take effect until we gave up Hulu and Netflix. Killing that bad habit has been amazing for our house. Conversations at the table with each other and friends is way better than T.V. We are super excited and eagerly waiting for our bench to be delivered so that we can have more people around our table for dinner.

Things on my table /// You know how I said I like things having a purpose or story behind them? Well I'll explain why I picked these things for display, the succulent is from my best friends wedding so it's a reminder of love and commitment, the coral is from our travels, the flower is from Jacob, and the big wooden chip holder from Mexico is a wedding present from a family friend. I don't know if it's a chip holder,  I just didn't know what else to call it and we have used it for chips in the past. So that is our dining room set up so far. Still looking into Bar carts, Buffets, and light fixtures. Below are some items I have my eye on.
