Driving to Terlingua from Marfa was so beautiful. Everything is picture worthy but like always you can't ever capture just how awesome your surroundings really are. We seriously would pull over every couple miles to take more pictures. This group of friends was perfect for this trip because no one ever got tired or annoyed with the cameras.

Terlingua (Kelly's favorite spot in TX) is a ghost town that was once a small mining town. Now people just pass through on their way to Big Bend National Park or they come like we did for an Adventure. Some of the activities people come for are hiking, mountain biking, hiking, rafting, motorcycling, and KARAOKE! Well, maybe others don't come for the Karaoke but we are always down to belt out our lungs! We rented a house in the middle of nowhere, with no physical address and had the loudest night of our lives. I think we all lost our voices because this was the one time we could scream out into the open sky as loud as we wanted without worrying about terrifying anyone or causing a noise violation. It felt good. Really good. Have you ever done it?

I highly recommend adding Terlingua to your places to visit. Our Hashtag (Instagram) for this trip was #MarfaWeddingFiesta #SSMRT #HeadedtoMarfa #OOCOMG if you wanted to see more.

This is how our day looked on Friday. Kelly and I packed that morning before the drive... Typical. The drive to Austin is always fun and we were especially excited this time because we have never been to TXSC. We made our routine stop to Buc-ees for snacks and to stretch out our legs, blasted the early to mid 90s, sang out loud/off key and took tons of photos. If you have never stopped at a Buc-ees, I suggest you do it and do it big. It's like road trip snack heaven! We grabbed waters, Buc-ees southwest trail mix and peanut butter yogurt pretzels. Soo bad and so goooooooooooood.

Once we got there we checked in, turned in our swap items, then we went to grab a drink at La Condesa. I saw Josh Hartnett here once upon a time... so this place always holds a special place in my heart. It was Kelly's first time, and I think she fell in love with it, even with out the stud muffin. After our drinks and planning what workshops we wanted to go to we headed to Lulu's Style Swap which was a crazy fun mad house. Everyone left with two swap items and a book originally owned by another blogger. All the items were tagged with the original owners name and blog so you could look them up when you got home. To us, this was most successful meet and greet deal we've ever been to.

We ended the night meeting up with our dainty lady friends Elsie + Emma from ABM, Katie from Skunkboy Creatures, and all of their stud muffins (Jacob, the stud muffin club missed you). It was fun from the moment we sat down with them. Meetings like this, along with all our other run-ins throughout the weekend are why we enjoy blogging so much. The night was fun, sweaty (thank God we kept the drinks flowing), loud, full of energy, good company and ended way too soon.

Other blog friends we were excited about seeing/hanging/meeting at the swap.

MUCHO MONDAY

First, I just want to say thank you to my buddy, Colin, for letting Kelly and I stay at his awesome place all weekend. We kind of invaded his space and he just made fun of everything we were wearing. I just wish we had more quality time with him. The Texas Style Council took most of our time but it was so worth it. We are now going home with a head full of knowledge. Kelly is going home with a lot more, she got sick with a sinus infection and it got progressively worse. Saturda,y she took allergy meds (the drowsy kind) and tried to wing it, but she just looked cray. but hey she won Prom Queen! haha! Sunday, she slept all day until it was time to drive back home. I still made her take photos so that we would have Mucho Monday! What a trooper.

Austin recap is on it's way, I am going into the salon for a few clients today so I shall return.
Kelly is out of commission, at our moms house, until she gets better.
