Wednesday Playlist: Our Dad's Christmas Mix

I think this picture is around 5 years old probably taken on Thanksgiving. I remember we were trying to make it seem extra cheesy. We succeeded.

Growing up, Christmas really was a magical event. There is no way to explain it without getting super emotional about it. Just imagine anything super cheesy and over the top, that's my family. Sadly, I never had a chance to believe in Santa because my Mom didn't want to lie to me when I asked, but every Christmas day started at 5 am with my dad shouting "HO HO HO"  followed by slamming the front door. We would all roll out of bed and go straight to the livingroom, morning breath and all and good ol' Nat would fill the house. My mom would have hot chocolate in mugs and we would hang out, morning breath and all, and wake up. I could go on forever about this stuff, but it would probably bore you. I hope you all get to spend time with your family this month!

So this was one of the best shows at ACL 2010 for sure. I have so many photo's that it's easier to just post one band at a time. So I hope you go check this band out, watch their you tube video's, and buy their album because it's sooooooooo good!

oh how i love to be silly with my friends. remember when i said that when jacob goes out of town i like to make him videos? well these are the kind of videos i like to make him.
this was in the house we lived in when we were first married. my friend lyny and i did this all summer.

lynzy and i sing a lot! so what we do to drive people around us crazy is sing one line from a song over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over.....
