A few weeks ago, Brandi and I headed to Moss Boutique to get some Spring Style tips from Houston's IT girl, Danielle Henry. She's the rad stylist who runs Moss Boutique off Dunlavy. Our focus was spring dresses. Brandi and I find ourselves wearing a lot on jeans and shorts when we could be wearing a stylish dress. I don't know why we don't wear them all the time. Wearing a dress is an instant 'pick-me-up'
Well, here we go...
The entire shop was filled with goodies and I couldn't wait to get in the dressing room.
Here's me still rocking an in between look (eek) and Daniel is rocking her floral frills.
At first I wasn't sure about this dress because it didn't seem too flattering on the hanger... That and it was pale pink and I've always been funny about pink against my skin, but I LOVED this color.
Once I put it on, it had me spinning in circles on my tip toes. ha.
Look #2 'I'm professional, but I look dang good!' (i joke)
...awkward. Of course there was a lot of laughing going on during our time at Moss. Brandi kept saying, 'no not that face, you're doing your awkward smile again. Just laugh.'
Brandi was snapping photos of me the WHOLE time. I didn't even get the dressing room to myself. I heard her laughing really hard and when I asked her why she was laughing, she showed me a photo of my butt. Thanks seester.
They have a deal right now, if you buy a dress, you get a cardigan free. Heck yes!
This was my absolute favorite look and I had all sorts of issues leaving Moss without this dress and vest.
The first spring tip I got from Daniel was "every lady needs a white dress." Indeed Daniel, we do!
I just love the back of this breezy dress
MORE TIPS FROM DANIELLE
Have one key piece of jewelry, but don't over accessorize
Have at least one white dress
Try out new trends, but don't become too trendy and lose your unique style.
If all else fails, stick to the basics and throw in one new item at a time.
