bueno bueno shades

These shades were from an amazing shop in Austin called Spartan, which we will be blogging about soon but Jacob told me to wait and see if I still want them the next time we go back...

I have the hardest time finding shades that look good on my face. Raybans (Aviators) are the only ones that seem to wear. I did find some really bad ass black and gold Raybans (Clubmasters) at
Reserve Supply Co. this week, but Kelly said they are almost too small for my face. CHUBBY CHEEKS SUCK! I might just have to get them anyway.

So I am asking you to PLEASE send me some rad links for new shades while I patiently wait for my tumbleweeds shades, sunglasses, sunnies whatever you want to call them:) I can't wait!

my first rose bowl experience.

last weekend lauren and i met up with my my friend/old manager chris and he took us to the rose bowl flea market.  i was super stoked because well, i heard it was awesome and that it was vintage junk heaven! lauren and i ended up splitting up because its hard to keep a group together at that sort of place...you just get lost.
i thought i would share some of the photos with you so that you can feel like you were there with me too! i just love junk! i've always wanted to own a junk store...maybe someday... but until then....
vintage tee's
i was overwhelmed with awesomeness. but $100 for a shirt that isn't soft, thin or the perfect fit...no thanks!
kicking myself in the ass for not getting this.
old school

rose bowl

everytime kelly and i see thermos we laugh. inside joke sorry.

i seriously should of got this shirt for my month in california because i don't know how many times i had to say "I AM MARRIED!"
im a sucker for shades!

$10 dollars a key you must be out of your mind!

Have you been to rose bowl flea market? if not i suggest you make it out for sure! if i lived here in california i would go at least once a month.

7 tips before you go to the rose bowl flea market:
1. go early like 8am
2. bring a lot of cash. haggle the price for sure.
3. don't drink a lot before you go because you don't want to waste time in the restroom. plus they are gross.
4. wear comfortable shoes. i had to buy some there but it's ok because they were 3 dollars and super cute!
5. if you take a friend, warn them that you are going to take your time and look at everything so they better be patient.
6. bring a large tote or cart to carry all your treasures.
7. browse first, then buy...unless it's freaking awesome and you must have it right that second. (i say this because every booth has different price points)

Q. when you go to flea markets, garage sales, or swap meets what do you look for? do you already have in mind what you want?

that was one wet weekend.

funerals bring goodtimes....this weekend the bruno brothers came in town for a funeral, which sucks, but to make good out of it we took a day off to be kids again and go to schlitterbahn!i missed these boys, its been over 7 years since i have seen ross, and 3 years since i've seen jacob! too long, but it was for good reason, they were in the army and i am so thankful they made it back safe. after this long soaking day we hit up rudy's bar-b-q! it was the perfect day!
if you have not been to schlitterbahn or rudy's, pack your bags and go now!

next day....annual float trip!
we were off to float the river. i think it's hillarious actually. everyone looks like lazy cows going to one place to get in a tube and just chill for hours. i love it! click here for explanation of tubing.
thank you @sheaisawesome for that link! perfect.
you know you do this when passing a trucker. i'm trying to get him to honk! but i look like a hilbilly.

hahaha this is the best. everyone needs a kellee. she is the reason for this trip. kellee now lives in newyork but came into town to float like every year! the tube rental place remembered her from last year!
they asked her" are you the girl in the red bikini from last year who was walking around for hours looking for your friends?" bahahahahahaha! oops. kellee got left during last years float trip with no clothes, towel, phone, money, or flip flops:(
after a long float we discovered that nick and krista lost their keys in the river! oh no!
dairy queen saved us that day bc hungry people = grumpy people
then we look over and our kellee was picking flowers without a care in the world!!!
oh kellee we love you! thank you for making us laugh all the time! there is no one like you:) don't you forget it!
*notice her shades? you too could win a pair! be sure to enter giveaway!
things you need at the river:
-awesome playlist- to get you pumped for the river!
