This past Saturday was perfect. It was just what Brandi and I needed. After weekends full of plans and long work weeks, we finally had a free day. We knew Justin would be joining us, we knew there would be music and longboards, other than that we just kind of went where the day took us. I know Brandi was a little worried at first because when I first came over to her house, I was a bit of a sad sap, but the getting out in the sunshine for a cruise (even though it was cold and windy) was the best remedy.

Sunday, Brandi spent most of the day with friends for brunch, gardening, and a meeting with her trainer. She ended it at ZAZA for a Moroccan oil hair show with her Do or Dye ladies. I drove out to 'the country' to check out my new house and do a walk through with my future landlord AND my Pops (He had to make sure I wasn't getting myself into anything too crazy). Since 2009, I have been hopping around hoping to find a good place to get rooted and I've finally found a home and it's closer to work. It's a small 100 year old house with wood floors, white walls, and front porch. I won't give it all away just yet because there will be tons of future posts about it. Brandi's been telling my secrets to everyone (fun fact: I've been scared of the dark most ALL of my life) and is probably collecting bets on how I do out there, but I'm quite confident in this decision. I can't wait to see Zeyk's (my pup) reaction out there. I drove around the 'downtown' area of my new town and visited an antique shop out there and introduced myself to a new neighbor. I can't get out there fast enough. March 23, just give me that countryside!

Saturday evening our flight landed in Texas, Jacob picked us up and the first thing I did when I got home was jump in the shower! The hot water felt amazing, I think I just stood there not moving for half an hour.
I guess Jacob checked instagram earlier that day because I had requested Tacos and Casal Garcia, and when I got out of the shower my glass was poured and he was working on the taco's. Not fish taco's, but he invented some other specialty taco and my goodness it was delish! That night all we did was grub out and catch up on shows. It was perfect.

Sunday came fast, Jacob got up for church and I stayed home unpacking, uploading pics, and waiting for my tummy to be back to normal. I took over 1,300 photos just on my iphone, 7 instax, and I have no idea how many photo's and videos on my Go Pro. It's taking forever going through them all, But reliving that moment through video is the best. When Jacob came back home Andie and Russ called us to meet them at the dog park so we grabbed our boards and got some fresh air.

Later I got a text from Grace with some awesome salon news! Do or Dye Tx is now a complete salon! All chairs are filled with the perfect people! 7 stylists, 2 estheticians, and 2.5 receptionists! Before Jacob and I headed to Andie and Russ's house for dinner we had to grab a celebatory drink with Grace and our newest addition to the salon! I'm so excited you have no idea!

*Mucho Monday will be back next week, Kelly was in Austin and I was just getting back to real life.

As you have probably gathered from our blog Kelly, Jacob and I have Monday's off. It's awesome, except for when we want to hang out with friends who have to work on Mondays. Finally, one of my besties, Joe, and I had a Monday to spend together but it just happened to be a day where Kelly and Jacob were not available. Joe and I have known each other since 3rd grade! Isn't that crazy? Like NKOTB days, he even got a perm to look like Jordan Knight, but instead he ended up looking like Rick James. Just kidding! But seriously, it was only two years ago that he made that same mistake. Gotta love our Joe.

Anyway, we decided that we wanted a surprise surprise...Beach Day!!! Shocking I know. We got some sun, had some fun, and then we almost threw up from the swings on the Pier. I guess we shouldn't of have gone to Fishtails right before heading to Pleasure Pier to jump on the rides. Ha! Typical of me and Joe. Even when we were pale in the face we were laughing. We couldn't help but think of one of my favorite movies, The Sandlot, when the boys chewed tobacco and threw up everywhere during a ride at the fair. CLICK HERE to see what I am talking about. GROSS! Luckily we didn't have that outcome. Just another awesome Monday!
