POOL PARTY MUST HAVES

When you live in Houston and it is Summer Time the only way to survive is Pool Party. So if you don't have a pool you should talk you significant other into investing in one,  make friends with someone with a pool or consider moving to an apartment complex just for the pool. Thankfully I have several friends and family with pools so I'm solid. If your one of those friends/family members (like me) who always uses your friends (cousins)  pool you gotta bring the goods over food, booze, and pool floats! Buy them the really fun statement floats and not the lame cheapy ones that deflate after a day. I promise they will appreciate it and probably want you around more instead of avoiding your text/phone call asking if you can come over. Bottom line is BRING THE PARTY! Below are some of my favorites.

WHAT'S IN MY BAG /// Makeup

I usually don't wear too much makeup because I actually like the way I look without it. There is nothing like a fresh face in the morning. I've always loved waking up and seeing my family or my friends without makeup, I just think everyone is so cute and beautiful right when they wake up.  But, for work, special occassions or when I need to be a little more presentable because I don't want to come off messy or lazy I have fun with makeup. I have a make up bag full of Goodies thanks to my girl Ginny Lee! A couple months ago I called her up and asked for help because 1. I didn't know how to put it on and 2. I had no idea what I needed to buy. She knows that I like the natural look (minus bright lippy) and I just want to enhance my features so I trusted her. We met up  and had a blast trying different lippy's and highlighters bc I like to glow. We shopped here and here /// Below is what is in my makeup bag. I always encourage a darker bag so you don't get makeup leaks and look like a dirty girl when you pull it out in front of people.

Don't forget Nordstrom is having a HUGE Anniversary sale this weekend! You do not want to miss it!

CASA /// Add To Cart

Any free time we have had lately we are looking through catalogs, pinterest, or instagram to try and find the perfect pieces for our home. It's hard to pick certain items because I get sick of things fast and I have expensive taste so... Good advice I received from a family friend was to spend good money only on timeless classic pieces, and bargain shop for the trendy pieces, basically the same advice as wardrobe. I always think "would my kids want this someday?"

Most of the furniture we had before the move was hand me downs, pre marriage, and things passed down. I have a few rattan items from my childhood that I adore and a chair that my sister Kelly got...I'm still pretty bummed about it but that's part of having 3 siblings. Anyway enough moping, I saw the chairs on @onekingslane instagram and I'm not sure if they sell them or if they were just in the photo (fingers crossed). Anyway the whole point of this paragraph was that my rattan/ wicker obsession maybe going overboard lately. I want it all! How much is too much?

Some of our favorites stores when it comes to our home are 1 // 2 // 3 // 4 // 5 . Some of my favorite accounts to follow on Instagram are @amberinteriors, @dominomag, @fleamarketfab, @thebeachlodge and @thehomeedit

I would love to know what your favorite stores or instagram accounts to follow are.
