WWKW // Warehouse Live

Last weekend, my pal Derry texted me to let me know he was playing a show in Houston at Warehouse Live Saturday night. I packed a bag and Hauled myself and Zeyk out of the country and into town. I started the evening with my friend Yvette at an easy going dinner party with wine and good company. As the evening progressed, we let folks know we were going to see Jason Isbell + The 400 Unit and Dawes play. At that moment half the dinner party decided to come with us. I have never seen Warehouse Live packed out and participating so much for the opening act before. The boys absolutely killed it. I just wish their set could have been a little longer. After the show, a few of us hopped around downtown and acted a fool.

Tonight Jason Isbell + The 400 Unit will be playing The Belmont in Austin, Texas. If you are anywhere near Austin, you should probably go check it out :)

Also tonight, Vaden Todd Lewis (Toadies fans?) is playing a sold out show at the Stash factory. I love live music.

What are your plans this weekend? Any shows or events in your area?

Good morning friends! Today is the day @travismccarra and @nikou22 get married! #marfaweddingfiesta #marfa #elcosmico #teepeeliving #sunrise #headedtomarfa #texas #sistersister #ssmrt

We made it out to Marfa, Texas for the #marfaweddingfiesta of Travis and Nikou (of course we cried when they danced to this). The wedding was perfect... 60 friends and family members in the desert to share one moment together... come on, it doesn't get any better than that.

Because the weather can be a little unpredictable out west, we brought lots of options. Here's the break down of what we ended up wearing.

On Brandi:
Mullet Dress <> Hunt and Gather
Shoes <> Toms Booties
HeadPiece <> Feathers Boutique (I love the ones Moorea Seal makes, might have to get one)

On Kelly:
Maxi Dress <> Anthropologie
Shoes <> Justin Boots (wishing I had these)
Headband <> Bueno Bueno (shop temporarily closed)
Bracelets <> Chrisrann // vintage copper cuffs // Bueno Bueno
Necklace <> Ax + Apple

If you want to see photo's from our trip on Instagram look up #Marfaweddingfiesta #headedtomarfa #ssmrt. Today we head out to Terlingua until Wednesday, so there's more fun to come! Keep up with us on @lisenbesquared @thepinpointmethod @iheartbueno

Mama G and some tunes

My cute little Mama G came into town this weekend. She originally came into town to help me look for a place to live in Dallas, but it's looking like I'll be moving to Nashville instead!

Guess who else came in town...
The lovely Amanda Shires and Rod Picott!

Since Mama G and I ended up with all this free time, we decided to drive into Dallas to see/hear some talent. The show was at the All Good Cafe Saturday night and it was the perfect show to take my mom to. Also playing was Doug Burr (with Glen Farris).

It was the first time I had ever seen/heard them and I hope I can see them again before I flee the state.
It was an all around AWESOME night. Good music, good company, good environment and red wine :)
The rest of the weekend was dedicated to finding a dress for my friends wedding and a dress for the rehearsal dinner. My mom bought a red sassy dress for the wedding (post pictures later) and I found one for the rehearsal dinner and put it on hold to think it over.
Thank you to everyone who gave their opinion. I DID go back and buy it ANNND I wore it to work immediately out of excitement!

Getting back to music, I've been on a bit of a kick lately. I have recently seen The Diamond Center, Rodney Parker, Josh Ritter, Amanda Shires, Doug Burr, and this weekend I'll be seeing The Literary Greats. I've seen them in Dallas, Houston and Austin and it's always a good time! Below are some photos I took of TLG at SXSW this year.

If you are in Dallas/Denton/Ft. Worth, you should come out this weekend and say hello.

p.s. I need to mix it up...anyone recommend any bands that I can shake it to? I need some birthday/dance music.
